Dear Colleagues,
Emergency Medicine (EM) is a medical specialty with a broad range of skills. It is also an important discipline for the management of acute medical conditions including infectious diseases, for trauma and for surveillance of the complications of chronic diseases. Our Unit has been serving Hong Kong as a pioneer to provide clinical, administrative, educational and research leadership in Emergency Medicine (EM) for 25 years. To go one step further, we are organizing a virtual symposium: “New Frontiers in Emergency and Disaster Care: Advancing Emergency Care in Greater China” in April 2021. The symposium aims to provide a platform for EM practitioners in Hong Kong to share experiences and knowledge with overseas experts, and to enhance practitioners’ ability to face future EM challenges. A virtual post-symposium workshop which focuses on COVID-19 will be held after the symposium, to discuss issues related to the current pandemic.
Hope to see you in April 2021!
Best Regards,
Colin A Graham
